KRIYA MEDITATION
THE ART OF BEING YOURSELF
KRIYA YOGA PROVIDES THE TOOLS AND GUIDANCE TO DISCOVER WHO YOU ARE.
Kriya meditation helps us to disconnect from the sensory mind so we can connect to our highest wisdom. The simple techniques help us move:
beyond mental activity to stillness
beyond thoughts to experience light, feelings of spaciousness and calm
from challenges to transformation in our lives
WHY BEING OURSELVES IS SO AWESOME?
If we can just see and be ourselves, everything else in life will work itself out.
For many of us, we live our lives as a continual reaction to our emotions, thoughts, and conditioning. We are overrun with judgments, expectations, criticisms, and beliefs of who we and others should be. When things don’t go our way we get upset, stressed, anxious, fearful, and small. We may even feel like we’re unlovable, that we don't belong, and never good enough. Always striving to be more, become better - to be ‘perfect’.
When we’re locked in these forces it’s impossible to see that we’re already perfect. We are born perfect exactly the way we are. Somewhere along the way, we forgot our perfect selves. We thought we needed to be someone else in order to be seen and accepted. Life becomes a drain and instead of feeling alive, we feel trapped, directional-less, and unfulfilled.
We find it hard to be ourselves because we haven’t been given the tools to see ourselves, let alone know who we are. Instead of looking within, we’re constantly looking outside of us to feel better. This gives us moments of relief and contentment but it never lasts. Something always seems to be missing.
So our work in life is to remember who we are. To come home to ourselves so we can be the perfect self that we already are. We become alive again as we’re no longer fighting so hard to maintain the identities we want to present to the world.
We live fearlessly from our wisdom, intuition, and intellect - our truth. We feel liberated as we no longer look outside to be ‘fixed’ because we know we have the power to heal ourselves. And when we do, we see who we are and why we’re here. We feel so much aliveness within that we believe anything is possible and make it happen. Happiness, freedom, and fulfillment then come naturally as we flow with life rather than resist it.
But in order to get there, we need to get to know ourselves first. And to know ourselves, we need to go beyond the mental activities of the mind.
HOW DO WE GO BEYOND THE MENTAL ACTIVITIES OF
THE MIND?
BY DOING NOTHING.
Kriya meditation provides the tools we need to do nothing. When we’re in the state of nothingness we go beyond the mental activities that stop us from seeing ourselves - we become free from the ego, emotions, conditioning, and belief patterns that get us stuck. We can then connect to a higher state of consciousness where a greater intelligence and our highest wisdom exists.
AND HERE IS WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS.
We get to 'know ourselves’ through the healing, intuition, insight, and inspiration we receive when we do nothing. We come out of the practice feeling calm, have a sense that everything is ok and the ‘answers’ we’ve been seeking seem to magically appear. We have more clarity on who we are, what we’re here to do, and how to get it done.
WHAT IS KRIYA YOGA?
Kriya Yoga is the science to purify the consciousness. That simply means sensing and clearing our energetic and emotional blockages so we can raise our awareness and energy to a higher state - The state of oneness or in Yoga, the state of Samadhi, a universal connection to all things.
The ancient science of Kriya Yoga was discovered by the sages in India thousands of years ago. It was lost for centuries in the dark ages and revived in the modern times by Mahavata Babaji who’s disciple Lahiri Mahasaya was first to teach it openly in the 19th century and was later brought to the west by Paramahansa Yogananda (Autobiography of a Yogi). Yogananda taught my teachers’ teachers who passed the sacred knowledge and techniques onto me. Learn more about the lineage here.
Kriya meditation is a shortcut to the superconscious. While it's helpful to focus on just the breath or a mantra to quiet and observe the mind, these practices deal with the first levels of meditation. Kriya Yoga takes it to the next level by providing tools and a systematic guide to reach the deep state of meditation (Samadhi) quicker and allow us to stay in it for longer. In fact, we can reach this state even as a first-time meditator. I know because it happened to me and many of my students.
HOW DOES KRIYA MEDITATION WORK?
Kriyas works on the level of energy or prana - the enlivening force operating within us. The Kriya techniques help us point our attention pass mental activity to energy - from thoughts to consciousness. This action ‘purifies our consciousness’ and this shift brings clarity - seeing things as they are, not just seeing our thoughts about things.
When we experience ourselves as energy, we can relate to the world and the universal life-force that govern the nature of things better. Having this connection helps us flow with life rather than resist it. If 'everything is energy’ then when we can master our own energy, which Kriya Yoga teaches us to do, we master life itself.
There are many different Kriya techniques. Each one works on the multitude of things that stop us from being ourselves - from stilling the mind to releasing stuck emotions to connecting to our intuition. As we are all different and every day we feel different, the benefit of this practice is that we can customise our meditations for what we need at the time.

THE CLASS FORMAT
The class is unique because it’s more of a meditation journey than a meditation sitting. We move through a sequence of activities to help us ground and still the mind so we can go beyond it and get into the state of ’nothingness’ and stay there for longer.
The class runs for 1 hour. Each class will begin with a talk related to the meditation (satsang), followed by a few simple yogic movements (asana) and breathing exercises (pranayama) to draw the senses in. Then we will go into the meditation journey and ultimately ‘do nothing’ for a period of time and allow the magic to happen. We will come out of the meditation with a grounding practice (samyama). Everything will be guided so no experience is necessary. There will also be time for questions.
I teach my classes in a modern way while keeping the essence of this ancient technology and wisdom. It’s non-religious and there’s no dogma. I balance the science with the spiritual and the rational with the experiential. I make it relevant by connecting the techniques to the modern-day challenges that we all face, using real-life experiences.
I teach one weekly live online class and offer an online library of past classes if you can’t make the live class. Each week’s class will have a different theme and related meditation technique.
HUMANISING THE ONLINE EXPERIENCE
The class is taught online so it has the convenience of digital access and the benefits of a global community and personal connection.
I teach empathically and treat my students with the utmost care and consideration. I sense where they’re at and try to fulfill their needs. To ensure my students feel supported, I take time to connect with all my students individually and I’m available for questions when needed.
I start each class with a talk to share knowledge that can support our life journey and to sync the energy of the group so we feel connected and safe. This connective energy magnifies the meditation practice so we can get deeper than practicing on our own.
Students have access to a Facebook group for the community to connect and to receive support information after the class is over.
I see myself more as a guide than a teacher. We are the same. We go through many of the same challenges in life and ultimately seek the same things. I can relate to you. I’m here to share the experiences, insights, and knowledge that I’ve gained through the work I’ve done and continue to do so on my journey.
STUDENT COMMENTS AND FEEDBACK
Hey Nat
Something shifted in me this morning. Something really really beautiful. I can't explain it. I just feel so free, so happy, so unbothered. So full.
I just remember getting back into bed after your class with a HUUUUUGE smile on my face.
I don't know you but I feel comfortable with you.
I want to thank you for reaching out to me and inviting me to your class. I remember feeling happy to meditate during your class. I keep thinking that there has to be some kind of magic in this kind of meditation.
Thank you again. Especially for calming down my anxiety. For having the patience to do it. I just want you to know I am grateful for the time, effort and care you took to talk me through everything.
Honestly, your timing couldn't have been more perfect.

Hello 👋🏽 I was just on the IG Live you did with Anisha and I gotta say... THANK YOU 😊 I told Anisha that I just started to cry towards the end; something wanted to come out and when I touched my heart i didn’t fight it. I feel so light and full at the same time even though you just gave us a little taste ❤️ thank you ❤️

Since I started your classes, I see things in the bigger picture, I connect the dots, I have a clearer mind. Answers I’ve been looking for, for years, came. The road is still long, but at least a shift happened within me. Being vulnerable, opening up, taking classes from spiritual teachers like you. Sitting with the pain, looking at it, letting it bleed, cry, and letting go. To break free from old patterns, cycles. And being open to a new one. Finding new areas of interest, not feeling guilty for doing nothing. You truly inspired me. Can’t thank you enough Nat really!

Aaaa, I'm shocked: how much new ideas come into my mind after a switching from "I'm a Victim and Problems" mode to "I'm a Creator and I'm enough"!
It's all because of Kriya meditations! F*ck, it's better than any drugs.

Hi Nat thanks so much for today class.
I followed your advice of the nothingness and found it’s much easier than last time. (No more focusing or observing, just like watching the passing clouds as you mentioned & they really passed so easily when I am nothing 😊) ... Feel so relax & much lighter during & after meditation.
Also felt nothingness & oneness are the same thing. Thanks so much for the beautiful energy we all shared within this class
🙏🏽🥰🌿

Today’s meditation was powerful, yes. Complex geometrical visuals in the 3rd eye and intense purple healing light during the whole thing
Overwhelmingly beautiful. Felt a release at some point, which made me cry a little. Very warm energy around the navel chakra.
I can really feel energies moving in my body and traumas releasing
Thank you 🙏🏻

Dear Nat,
Thank you so much for allowing me into the meditation class. It was extremely lovely and uplifting for me. I have been in complete quarantine for nearly two weeks now. It had alarmed me that within that time I was still managing to avoid myself! I thought this class could be a great opportunity for me to reconnect to center. I was right in that thinking. :) Truthfully, I have tried meditation several times over the last few years and I have not been able to feel any deep connection. Today it felt right again, finally! So again, thank you.

Hey Nat
I was just thinking about you during my meditation. And I just wanted to say thank you again. For everything.
The more I practice, the more grateful I become.
I keep thinking, where have you been all my life? Why am I only discovering all this now? I know everything has it’s time. So I guess, I was finally ready.
Thank you.

It feels far more powerful that other meditations that I have done, particularly in the sense of quieting my mind. Other meditations that I have done quiet my mind while I'm doing them, but then mental chatter kicks in fairly quickly afterwards. I also find it to have some "trippy" elements, which I like. There is a feeling of contentedness to something else, which is now often with me when I'm not meditating

I look forward to every thurs morning with you, gives me a good sense of routine and I feel calm the whole day so thank you!

I like your classes and your energy. I do feel a different level of meditation during the class..despite my good intention during the rest of the week. It’s great to experience how energy can be shared in virtual presence. I am grateful

The accountability - having it on our schedule once a week marks my week as the time to find peace, and the positive results motivate me to meditate on my own. But really, I think the talk allows us to go disconnecting, so that we are really ready to let go and "surrender" when the meditation time comes.

I feel it’s the only meditation that I can fully relax and let go. I like the different kriya methods available to me that I can use with nat and on my own, I enjoy the asana intro this practice too (and I don’t feel like its a cult/forcing me to complete levels etc)

Sensing my own energy allowed me to be more centered and out of my head. When I am centered, I can silence the negative chatter in my head. I can find a sense of grounding by going inwards and just being in the state of nothingness. With a clear mind, I could find inspiration more easily and naturally listen to my own intuition. When I am out of my head and with a clear mind, I can know what my life mission is.

The fact that there is a class every week NO MATTER what makes sure that we practice. So I have learned consistency even if I am not feeling it that day. Because this is a consistent practice in my life, I see the positive effects it has on my life and way of being. Having you available to answer questions is very encouraging too because it keeps me wanting to practice because I know I have a support system should I need support.

WHO AM I?
I’ve been a seeker all my life. I’ve had a successful 20-year marketing career working in leadership roles for the world's largest agencies and brands in Sydney and New York. On the outside, it seemed like ‘I had it all' but on the inside, I always felt something was wrong and I couldn’t be myself. How could I if I didn't know myself? I had a lot of fear, low self-esteem, and felt unfulfilled. I also suffered from chronic anxiety that triggered daily panic attacks which completely shut me down.
I tried everything from psychotherapy to medication to ‘fix it' and when nothing worked I tried meditation - Kriya meditation. I had never done any ‘spiritual' work or alternative healing modalities prior to that. I remember walking out of my first class thinking ‘I am home’ - I had tasted this state of oneness, Samadhi, and got a glimpse of who I really am and knew that this was it. I stopped medicating and Yoga and meditation became my way of life. From there, I become a spiritual junkie. I read every book, tried every healing modality and did every workshop I came across.
When the anxiety began to lift, I knew I had to go deeper inward to fulfill something far greater than what I knew at the time. So I quit my life in New York and began a spiritual journey into the self while traveling around the world and never looked back.
On this journey, I traveled to over 50 countries working with meditation masters in India to shamans in Mexico to light language channelers in Barcelona. When the healing began, I started to see myself clearly and I knew my purpose in life - to help people become themselves. I started receiving knowledge and guidance intuitively of what I needed to do to fulfill my mission. From then on, I’ve been living my life fearlessly, and working towards my highest potential, doing what I love. Teaching Kriya meditation is a core part of that. I’m sharing the gift that was key to my transformation so others may also experience it for themselves.
Check out this video I made about Kriya meditation and how it healed my chronic anxiety.
